Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University, and within the framework of supporting and sponsoring sports champions, Professor Dr. Islam Amin Zaki Abdel Wakil, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences in Abu Qir, and Professor Dr. Essam Gharib, Head of the Athletics Department, received the champion Asil Osama, the javelin throw champion, in preparation for the start of her training at the college’s fields.
Asil is considered one of the most promising sporting talents, having achieved numerous continental and Arab accomplishments, including winning gold medals in African and Arab championships and the African Schools Games. She has also broken several Egyptian, Arab, and African records in javelin throw competitions across the under-18, under-20, and senior categories.
This step comes as part of the college's commitment to providing a suitable training environment and the necessary support for its athletes, contributing to their continued excellence and further achievements at both the local and international levels.
